The wait is nearly over…
With the buzz of winter ever closer, we have been busy preparing for the season ahead. Oh yes, and there is exciting stuff to announce very shortly (let’s just say we have two major projects in full flow). So is it Austria or France this year? Most definitely Austria according to 42% of the voters in our recent fun poll, with 32% for France and the rest of you heading elsewhere. It’s a neat time then to put the two countries head to head in our newsletter: Austria’s Sölden gets a ‘new’ resort slot and there are good money-saving deals to France. And if you’re looking for accommodation independently, we review a new outfit that might hold the solution to endless web searches. Also, this year’s nifty kit is reviewed in Dave’s equipment chapter – now summed-up on the site; and we have a feature on resorts by rail. As we look ahead to those first turns, we’ll be suggesting a few resorts in forthcoming bulletins and reporting back from an eagerly awaited trip to La Tania – just five weeks to go! We’d like to encourage your reports on any planned early season trips too … with a newly revised reporting system.
