Slingshot Ride at Six Flags

Slingshot was firstly introduced in Six Flags theme park around 1999 – 2001. It’s the ride that can accomodate 2 riders at one time and it takes so much time to serve all of the riders in one day. Slingshot is available in New Jersey, New England, and Great adventure. The ride was being manufactured by Funtime Industries which is the Australian company. The Slingshot ride is nothing like it. It’s not the type of ride that will race on the track or rail but it’s working as a catapult ( A large scale cannon that was being used in the war ). Take a look at the ride structure, There are 2 tall poles that strap the sling that use in shooting up the riders up toward the sky. The seat for the passengers are in the rounded circle shape that 2 riders can fit in with the safety belt. Once operate the slingshot, the riders will be asked to be seated inside of the circle surrounded by roll bar and other safety materials ( helmet and etc. ). The officers that are operating the ride will ask if the riders are ready and when the riders give the green light. They’ll be shot up to the sky with the height of around 15 stories high ( 200 feet high ). Not only the shooting up with high speed as fast as 80 mile per hour, but the sling will bounce back by the gravity and go up again by the momentum power creating the maximum thrill feeling for the riders. Sitting in the cage ball that is being built from the metal steel like a roll bar in the race car. The officers wil ask if the riders are ready to go. Once they do, the sling will be released from the base and shot them up to the sky. This feel just like the astranault going up in the mission to mars and never return. It’s the 80 miles per hour monster ride that will freak the riders out. Not only the speed that is creepy but the height of the ride as well. Once the sling is released, the rider will feel the G-force pulling their body up the sky to over 200 feet. Not only the speed on the go but when the ride is finished, the riders will be hung like that for about 2 minutes and going down slowy until they are instructed by the officer to exit the cage.
